(OMAHA, NE) Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement regarding the first stop of a trip by a bipartisan congressional delegation to reaffirm relationships with U.S. partners. “The long-term security of America will require a strategic plan that involves a solid relationship with key allies around the world,” noted Congressman Don Bacon. “I was pleased to engage in meaningful dialogue with top government officials in Norway on the current political landscape of Europe; security challenges from Syria, Iran, and Russia; as well as economic and trade issues.” Congressman Don Bacon was invited based on his leadership and experience to join Speaker Paul Ryan along with House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry (R-TX), House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI), Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL), and Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) to participate in this four-nation endeavor. |
